Termite Control Remedy

How do I protect outdoor foundation of my home ? I live in Florida, east coast.....also any suggestions to keep fire ants/ants away....cornmeal worked great in Massachusetts but not here ! We use Borax to keep roaches under control....but termites and occasional rat (we live on a lake....and black snakes) would appreciate your input....using marigolds to keep snakes away but open to what you suggest.....big concern are the termites tho.....thank you !

Hello Lynn,

I am so sorry it's taken me so long to publish your submission and answer your questions, I've been on an extended leave due to family health issues.

The best termite control I can recommend is the one I have listed on my website..just look in the left column under DIY Pest Control. I have used the grape jelly, cat food, and borax remedy around my home and it worked wonders for the termites. I also have ant control recipes and rodent remedies listed. As far as the black snakes I do know they are good to have around when you have to deal with rodents. But personally, I've never had to deal with snakes in my area.
