The wisdom that comes with understanding the health benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar is underrated. A simple vinegar cocktail everyday could be exactly what you need to keep the doctor away. It's a tough taste to get use to, especially when you need to drink it three times a day. Once you see the benefits you will gain from this tonic you'll quickly agree it's an acquired taste that is well worth investing in. Once mixed with the honey and water you'll find the taste very much like apple cider.

The health benefit of Apple Cider Vinegar has been documented through thousands of years. It's known to have anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties. It also contains important minerals, trace elements and vitamins as well acetic acid, propionic acid, lactic acid, enzymes, amino acids as well as roughage in the form of potash and apple pectin.

Apple Cider Vinegar's vitamin content includes Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Provitamin beta-carotene, Vitamin P (bioflavonoids).

Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey Cocktail

A honeybee gathering honey for the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar Tonic All you need for this tonic are three ingredients. Although that sounds simple enough the three ingredients have to be exactly the right ones.

Apple Cider Vinegar. Buying the right Apple Cider Vinegar is extremely important. The mother must be present and you want your vinegar pure. In other words you want it organic and don't want it pasteurized. You can find this kind of Apple Cider Vinegar in the health food stores, online, or at a local apple orchard. You'll also find that you'll save a lot of money by buying it at an apple orchard. Some supermarkets are wising up and realizing that people want organic foods these days, so you might be able to find the right kind in your local supermarket.

Honey You also need to buy the right honey to enjoy the maximum health benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar Cocktail. Look for Raw Honey not the processed kind you'll find in that little plastic bear in your super market. If you're lucky enough to live near a bee keeper then by all means shop for your honey there. I have found large containers of Raw Honey at Sam's Club. Most people will have to go to their local health food store to find this type of honey.

Helpful Tip for Honey There is no need to worry about buying your honey in large containers. Its shelf life is years and if you notice your honey crystallizing just sit the container in hot water (enough to cover the level your honey is at in the container), let sit for about 30 minutes in hot tap water and it will start pouring again.

Water The most important tip I can offer about water here is make sure you use either spring water (free of chemicals) or distilled water. Never use tap water! All tap water is treated at Water Treatment Plants and are full of chemicals to kill bacteria. These chemicals can have an adverse reaction on the health benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar Cocktail.

The Apple Cider Vinegar Cocktail

  • Mix 1 to 2 teaspoons of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (with mother)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons of Raw Honey
  • 8 ounces of cold spring or distilled water
  • Drink this cocktail 3 times a day for maximum benefits

I suggest you start out with 1 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar and honey to see if your stomach can tolerate the mixture at first. If you see you are having no stomach problems then increase to 2 teaspoons of each.
