I couldn't agree with you more, Rosacea is an annoying skin condition, not severe enough to get real attention, yet annoying enough to cause anybody suffering with it to feel embarrassed. I'm sure if you've been suffering with Rosacea for a long time what I say won't be new to you, but I have to say it.
Any skin condition begins with your diet and what you are putting on your skin. Drinking lots of pure spring water is extremely important for all health conditions. Flushing toxins out of our body on a regular basis is key to keeping our health in balance. And of course, lots of fresh vegetables and fruits, especially apples! Eating an apple every day is an old fashioned remedy but you'd be surprised what it can do for your skin.
You might also want to try the apple cider vinegar tonic. I have the recipe at: Go to the button on the left Vinegar Wisdom, then go to the middle of the page to the link: "Health Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar"
Most important is to remember, never put anything on your skin that you wouldn't put into your mouth! Anything you put on your skin will absorb into your bloodstream. Your skin is a living, breathing organ. The soaps we buy in the store are nothing more than detergent. It's important to use a soap on your skin that will restore you PH balance while feeding you skin something healthy. I use Olive Oil and Goat milk soap. It's all handmade on a farm in central PA. You can read about it at:
Go to button on left Home Remedy, then go to middle of the page with link: "Home Remedy for Dry Skin"
I plan on selling this soap and have received so many emails from people interested in buying it. The bad new is, I haven't been able to get a large supply yet, not enough to offer it for sale. The good news is, I'm driving there tomorrow to pick up all the soap they can spare. I'll be putting a page up by April to offer this special soap to visitors to Grandma's Wisdom. So if you're interested, mark the page I suggested above, and get your order in as soon as you can, since I can only get a limited supply. The people that make this soap developed it because their infant daughter had such a serious skin condition that doctors couldn't cure. They haven't had any problems since using this soap and if you could see their radiant skin you would order it by the case.
Another natural skin product is aloe. If you happen to have an aloe plant you might want to try plucking off a leaf and open it along the seam, apply the aloe directly to your skin. If you don't have an aloe plant you can buy a bottle of it in your local health food store. I have relatives in AZ where aloe grows everywhere and they love lathering it all over their skin daily.
