Any words of wisdom about these itchy aggravating redbug bites. They seem to a problem everytime I try to go outside near any wooded area. Thank-you, Dot
I'm not sure if you're saying that when you go near the woods there is a red bug that keeps biting you or that you are coming home with red bites. Either way, you should always try to protect yourself when going into the woods. There are so many diseases from insect bites, especially ticks, fleas and spiders.
I'd buy some essential oils, like peppermint and cedar. Add 8 to 10 drops of cedar to a quart of water and spray your clothing with it before going out. If you're going to have your arms and legs exposed, mix some peppermint oil 8 to 10 drops in a quart of water and spray your skin with it. Tea tree oil is also another good insect repellent. I would much prefer to spray essential oils on my skin than insect spray with all those dangerous chemicals in them.
