Hi Grandma.. what is the best remedy that you can offer for ear pain and vertigo. i have been going to a chiropractor for the pain and numbness the left side of my face.. i feel improved but now my ear hurts and i am dizzy. i am trying my best to let my body heal itself. my reg. dr had me on b/p med, sleep med, anxiety med, muscle relaxer. i felt myself getting deeper and deeper into this prescribed medicine cycle and decided.. no more. my body does not want to respond to homeopathic drugs.. but it must. i am a 55 year old female who beat up her body enough.. can you help me?

My Favorite Remedy for Ear Pain

Hello Linda,

I'm so glad to read that you are trying to get away from all that medication. It just seems you start taking one thing for something and next thing you know your taking all kinds of drugs that just don't make sense. I'm also glad to know that you are seeing a Chiropractor. I worked as a Chiropractic assistant for many years and I know how much they can help with health issues you wouldn't expect.

The one thing I've always used for myself and my family is Glycerine for ear pain. People think it just sounds too simple but it has always worked for us, especially when my children were small and would have an earache. I kept hearing about other children getting tubes put in their ears for the same problems. All you need is to hold a Q-tip under hot tap water then dip the tip into a bottle of Glycerine and allow the excess to drip down into your ear canal. Do this a couple of times then just lay down on your side and allow it to slowly go into the ear canal. You may have to do this a few days and nights but it's worth it. Make sure you carefully clean your ears with a Q-tip each morning to get the wax or infection out of the ear. Be really careful not to go too deep!

Sometimes laying on a hot water bottle will help to but make sure it's not too hot. I think once you get that ear canal cleaned out it will help the dizziness.
