Remedy for Coughs

It was an old recipe dating back in the 1920's. It was given for croup but when I
had bronchitis, and a bad cough I figured I would try it.
It may not sound so tasty, but believe me it's not as bad as it sounds.
The recipe said to slice an onion and sprinkle brown sugar on it, and when the juices were done mixing with the brown sugar, you spoon it off and take it for your cough.
When I had bronchitis I felt too lousy to do it that way, so I just sliced up an onion into a jar and dumped some brown sugar in and stirred it up. Worked fine.
Taken by the teaspoons, it is creamy and smooth going down the throat and eases the cough.
