Pine Cone Tea for Infections

I've been told that making a tea from the cones from a Pine can help with infections. I am wondering how much of a tea do you consume and is there a danger of drinking too much?
The problem is my mother is having bladder infection or urinary problems that keep recurring. They treat her with antibiotics and a bit later it returns...any suggestions?

Bladder infections
by: Anonymous

Someone once told me to take an AlkaSeltzer tablet in a glass of water for bladder infections. I have never used anything since. Much faster than cranberry juice.
Also. Recurring infections may be due to bladder stones.
If the bladder is not fully emptied, the urine can crystallize and then they In turn become stones which will cause frequent and painful infections. Sometimes the infections only show up in blood or urine tests not sure which but no bleeding or burning.
See a Doctor first and discuss this!

Urinary Tract Infection
by: Grandma

Hello,

I'm so sorry it took so long to get back to you, I've been on vacation and just getting caught up on my submissions and email.

To be honest, I have never heard of Pine Cone Tea. I have heard of White Pine-Needle Tea but it's used mostly for congestion.

I'm wondering if you found the pages I wrote about Home Remedy for Urinary Tract Infections and Bladder Infections? You can find them if you go to the button on the left that says "Home Remedies" then just scroll down to the middle of the page and find the two pages I mentioned above.

One of the best remedies I have found for Urinary Tract infections is all natural cranberry juice. This helps put a protective coating in the urinary tract and bladder so the bacteria can't stick to the lining and drink lots of fresh spring water to flush out the bacteria. You'll find more information on the pages I mentioned.
