Laundry Money Savings Tips

Since laundry products get expensive I have started making my own. Type homemade laundry detergent into your search engine. I found a good recipe on the Duggar family web site . Mine is a liquid form using a bar of soap, some borax and some washing soda, but there are also recipes for powder detergent.

For fabric softener use either straight distilled white vinegar or combine 6 cups of hot water with 2 cups cheap conditioners and 3 cups white vinegar in a recycled bottle. Shake and save!

Many things we frequently purchase ready made can be easily made for pennies on the dollar and every penny counts!

Home Made Laundry Detergent
by: Grandma

Hi Heather,

I never gave a thought to making my own home made laundry detergent. Your right, the price of laundry detergent is getting really expensive, unless you buy the cheap stuff that tends to not rinse out and really don't clean your cloths the way you're hoping. I'll have to give it a try and check out the website you mentioned.

Thanks for the Tips,

Grandma
