To be honest Tom, I had no idea what Mortons Nueroma was until you asked how to get rid of it. I tried doing a little research but didn't find much except what it is. From what I was reading it comes from wearing shoes that press on the bones in your feet, especially that big bone around the big toe. So of course my first suggestion would be to get rid of the shoes you've been wearing.
I'm sure the bone is most likely swollen and very painful now so I'd suggest soaking your foot in warm salt water. You could also try Epson Salts. I'd soak for at least 1/2 hour and I'd use 1/4 cup of salt to 1/2 gallon of warm water. Put your feet up and relax after the soak and then place an ice pack on the area for another 20 minutes, I'd do this a couple of times a day until the pain settles down.
I'd also suggest your start taking about 500 mg. of Magnesium every day.
