Home Remedy for Jungle Rot & Print it

Grandma: I cannot get my computer to print your pages. Is there a trick? Or do you have to give your permission?

Also I've been plauged with jungle rot (kinda like athaletes foot fungus only worse) since I was in nam. The VA does not have any medicane that will cure it. Do you have anything in your bag of tricks? I am going to try the vinegar soak/with listerine too see what happens.

Jungle Rot NEW
by: Chief

Questions rather than a Comment to my Nam Brothers. "Did your Jungle Rot get worse as your Hair grew Longer"?(I still have a full head of Hair.) "Does Anyone know what Ingredients were in the "Olive Drab Tube Salve" they gave us @ Bearcat Dispensary"??? "As my Hair grew longer, mine got worse. As I aged, it also got Worse, Summer Heat makes it much worse as well. I have tried EVERYTHING including washing my Hair2-3 x Daily, but the "Oil Acne" associated with this Jungle Rot condition still Increases. VA says, "not caused by Agent Orange"??? My scalp has been Raw and Irritated for YEARS, with no relief in Sight. All they seem to want to do for me is, "Shave my Head" witch would be leave me with something akin to a Bloody Cratered Hedge Apple for my Families to Gaze upon. Blessings, Chief

My father had jungle rott on both feet up to his knee. He would use Iodine, yes Iodine and it would clear up to where you could not even tell he had it. His was from Vietnam and mine is from the jungles of the phillines. I have it on my foot, it does work but everybody knows nothing takes this shit off permanently.

cured my jungle rot
by: Popeye49

When I got back from Nam I had a bad case of the rot, I tried everything to cure it. My feet smelled like rotting meat, and I had holes eaten into them between my toes down to the meat. I came home and took off my boots (the jungle boots I had it Nam) and the stink was awful so I decided to take some drastic action. I got a large pail of the hottest water I could stand and added about 3 cups of chlorine bleach and soaked my feet till the water cooled. IT WORKED till I wore the boots again....more hot water and bleach and the boots went in the dumpster. Still good after all those years. Good luck my brothers (sisters too)

Jungle Rot & Suggestions
by: Grandma

Hi,

I'm so sorry to read about the suffering you must be experiencing from the jungle rot. I'm really surprised that the VA don't have a medication available for something like this, goodness, I'm sure there are many more veterans suffering from this.

The first thing I would suggest is to try the vinegar and listerine soak, which you said you would try. I'd also suggest you try adding turmeric to you diet. It's a spice that has been proven to really help with those suffering with psoriasis, another skin disorder. Just add it to any dishes you can tolerate some spice, as often as you can. Vitamin E is also great for skin disorders. I'd be sure to start taking it every day to see if you can get some relief. You might also want to try applying Witch Hazel after you shower. I'd just dab a small area at first to test it, it's worth a try, if you notice some progress in that area and no skin irritation I'd start applying it wherever you are affected.

I'm not sure why you can't print my pages out. You don't need my permission to do this. Maybe it's the pictures that is causing your printer to not respond. Try copy and pasting what you want to print into your word processor and see if you can print it out that way.
