Hi Cher,

Of course, grandmothers should be a part of all family celebrations. But...when there is a conflict in the family it's best to resolve the conflict before attending. The last thing any grandmother would want to do is ruin a child's birthday celebration if there is a chance of some kind of conflict. Children should be left out of family conflict at all cost even if you have to be absent from celebrations.
