Most people like to take it on an empty stomach but some can't tolorate it that way. I think it's a matter of trial and error. If your stomach can handle it, then I'd at least try taking it about 30 minutes before meals. I like taking mine mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and a few hours after my supper. Once you start taking it as a regular routine you're stomach will let you know when the best time is for you.
