Alopecia Advice...
by: Anonymous

I had alopecia with my third pregnancy. I lost several large (2" or so) spots of hair on my head... but not my lashes or eyebrows. I used a rosemary hair tonic. I'm a firm believer in God, and I also used holy water with prayer for God, the designer of our bodies, to heal me. My hair grew back, and I have since done two things that I would recommend looking into (check with a doctor of course) because I've definitely had even better new hair growth since starting them. It takes a few months to see the new growth,so stick with it:
1. An iodine/iodide supplement (esp if you use uniodized sea salt)
2. Trace Minerals: add a few drops to your water... esp if you drink purified water, but even if you don't. Many people need more minerals.
God bless!

Remedy for Alopecia Universalis
by: Patricia

Hello Batya,

Goodness what a complicated disorder! I tried doing some research about your son's disorder but I just couldn't find anything worth passing along. I can understand your frustration. Even the medical world don't seem to know much about what causes it or what kind of treatment to offer. I don't blame you about trying the steroid shots, they do have so many side effects and with no promise they even work.

I was watching a rerun on Dr. Oz last week and really took notice to an herbal remedy he was showing for bald spots. I took notes because my two oldest sons are starting to lose their hair, they are in the mid 40s, and I'm going to try this on them. He said to take about 3 or 4 sprigs of fresh Rosemary and put in a blender with about 1/2 cup of Olive Oil and blend it together. Then just brush it on the areas that the hair is thinning, let it just soak in for about 20 minutes before each shampoo and he said within a few weeks you should notice the hair shaft getting stronger and sprouting hair. I wouldn't try this on your sons eyes, to restore his eyelashes but maybe try the eyebrow area and head. I know it sounds a bit weird but I think it's worth a try. When I mentioned it to my one son he got excited and wants to give it a try.

If you try this and you notice it working in any way please let us know so I can share it with others suffering from this condition.
